Community Service Project

(1 p.m. meet at registration - buses will transport volunteers to and from Oaks Dads Club)

Conference attendees who are interested in assisting with the hurricane recovery effort in Houston, IFMA is helping to rebuild and restore facilities for the Oak Dads’ Club on Tuesday from 1-5 p.m. Oaks Dads’ Club has been providing youth sports to the children of Garden Oaks, Oak Forest, Candlelight, Timbergrove, Inwood Forest, Shepherd Park Plaza and the surrounding Houston areas since 1954. A state registered 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation, the club is operated by volunteers who donate their time and efforts to help children learn the fundamental skills of sports while practicing good sportsmanship and developing confidence.

Sign up via your Attendee Service Center - Volunteer opportunity limited to the first 50 attendees to sign up.

Check in at registration to receive additional instructions, a community service ribbon, and to sign a volunteer waiver.

Possible projects may include:

  • Replacing sheet rock and paneling in clubhouse
  • Replacing doors on office and storage rooms
  • Distributing red clay dirt onto baseball infields
