The Certified Facility Manager® (CFM) credential sets the industry standard for ensuring the knowledge and competence of practicing facility managers. IFMA's certification process is designed to assess competency in the field through work experience, education and the ability to pass a comprehensive exam that covers 11 competencies that make up the facility management body of knowledge. This one-day workshop is designed to assist facility professionals seeking certification with preparation for the competency-based examination. 

This workshop focuses on tools that can lead to success on the exam, techniques to perceive situations, and the importance of maintaining the right perspective. 

Participants will: 
- Learn how to use the tools that can lead to success on the CFM Exam. 
- Understand the overall concept of the exam and focus on the methodology of the exam. 
- Learn to apply critical thinking skills and discuss the rationales used.

Notes and Remarks 
1. If typhoon signal no. 8 or above or the black rainstorm warning signal will be hoisted 4 hours before the event starts, the event would be cancelled or postponed. Participants will be informed of the cancellation or the re-scheduled date of event in due course. The IFMA Hong Kong Chapter reserves its right to cancel or to change the speakers without prior notice.  
2. Cancellations must be made at least 3 business days prior to the event. Otherwise, full price will be charged for your late cancellation. If you are not able to attend, we welcome a delegate to attend on your behalf. Refunds will not be given for no-shows after the event.

Become a leader in the development of sustainable FM. Prepare to earn IFMA’s Sustainabdfzility Facility Professional®. The SFP Overview is a 2-day introduction to key concepts covered in the SFP Learning System, led by an IFMA certified instructor. Each SFP Overview attendee will receive a SFP Learning System to continue self-study after the session. Attendees can then complete each SFP focus area and corresponding assessment, to earn their SFP. 

3 Simple Steps to becoming an SFP
LEARN : Join our SFP Instructor-led course and study the provided electronic/ printed training materials to enhance your skills and knowledge. 
TEST : Complete the three online SFP final assessments with a passing score of 75% or higher.  
EARN : Submit your SFP application (with application fee) to IFMA to validate your SFP credential.

Chris Hodges is a founding Principal of Facility Engineering Associates, with over 30 years of experience in building operations and facility management. He is a Registered Professional Engineer, Certified Facility Manager (International Facility Management Association), and LEED™ Accredited Professional (U.S. Green Building Council).Chris is an active member of IFMA, and has served terms as President of the Capital Chapter and member of the Board of Directors. Chris is also an IFMA Fellow, and Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He currently serves as Chair of IFMA’s Sustainability Committee and has authored numerous articles on Sustainable Facility Management and is the author of the “Getting Started” Guide on sustainability in facility management for the IFMA Foundation. Chris is also a member of IFMA’s Education Committee. Chris is a Master Instructor on the IFMA faculty; teaches IFMA core competency courses (FMP, CFM, SFP), and routinely participates in new course development, curriculum development, and has been active in promoting IFMA’s professional development and certification programs in the Unites States and internationally. Chris was the lead Subject Matter Expert for the development of IFMA’s Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) credential.
