IFMA’s Awards of Excellence recognize the outstanding achievements of individual members, chapters, councils and partners. Each year, awards are presented at World Workplace, honoring those who have made exceptional contributions to the advancement of the FM profession and the association.

Enjoy a seated luncheon, then cheer on IFMA chapters, councils and individual members accepting awards for exceptional achievements. The luncheon is followed by the closing keynote speaker.

Closing Keynotes

New TED Talk style closing keynotes will feature 3 speakers that will help shape you professionally and personally. 
**A book signing featuring all three speakers will be held immediately following the closing session in the foyer.

Speaker 1 - Simon T. Bailey - Shift Your Brilliance
Shift Your Brilliance happens when you find your own individual spark. This sets in motion a series of events, circumstances, situations and chance encounters that make an impact on the world. Achieving self-awareness is what makes it possible to move forward in your career, find new ways to solve old problems and positively affect everyone around you.

In this inspiring and invigorating session, participants will engage head, heart and hands to create a sustainable action plan for improving their lives, departments and organization. They will learn how to:
○ Adopt new habits that will positively impact one’s team and company.
○ Leverage one’s energy and knowledge to maximize one’s career opportunities.
○ Create a clear picture of how to drive value in every economy.
The two competencies that participants will improve during this interactive presentation are:
○ Awareness and Insight – the ability to assess ones’ owns strengths; understand how their actions impact perceptions; effectively maneuver the culture, climate and politics of the organization at all levels.
○ Initiative – the habit of proactively seeking new opportunities and challenges; the skill to take ownership and be accountable for enhancing results or minimizing problems.

Simon T. Bailey is a leadership imagineer and author whose expertise equips  emerging leaders and organizations with tips, tools and techniques on how to unleash their potential. He is the former sales director of the world-renowned Disney Institute and founder of Brilliance Institute, Inc. Bailey has been cited by Meetings and Conventions magazine as “one of the best keynote speakers ever heard or used,” putting him in the same category as Bill Gates, General Colin Powell, and Tony Robbins. Harrison College, in Indianapolis, Indiana, has partnered with Bailey to create professional development content for emerging leaders, high potential individuals, corporations and organizations. Bailey holds a master’s degree from Faith Christian University and was inducted as an honorary member of the University of Central Florida Golden Key International Honor Society.
